I can’t believe 2018 is over! What a year. I started this year off with a week in the hospital. It was my first time away from my baby – 26 hours in the ER, telling me I had to go to ICU, and so much blood work. (If you know me – you know I don’t deal well with that!) I had my boss call me while I was in the hospital and tell me my job would be posted if I didn’t return on Monday. So I came back to work. Madalyn got RSV and had ear infections every 2 weeks for the entire season. I was working as a teacher, a photographer, a new mom, finishing my final semester to get my Master’s degree (yay!). It was a long semester of stress, illness, and just not being happy.
I decided over the summer I would be happier and healthier (mentally and physically) if I could stay home with my baby and work on my photography full time. I am the most indecisive person you’ll meet so this took me forever to actually decide. Once I did – I felt this HUGE relief. It was super stressful when I quit (which made me realize even more I made the right decision).
Since then, I have been SO busy with photography and Madalyn keeps me on my toes. I have grown a lot in my business and am happy about how all of this is turning out! My husband who is non-stop encouraging me and supporting each decision I make. My parents and in-laws who help with the babysitting during sessions and believe in what I’m doing. My sister who is my constant encouragement every time I start to doubt myself. My second shooter who is up for anything and believes in all my crazy dreams. I am blessed with such amazing family and friends around me!
Madalyn turned 1 and is SO big! She is seriously the cutest and smart like her Daddy for sure.
I can’t thank all of you enough for supporting my decision and my business. It helps support my family and I love being able to work with you all! Here’s a few favorites from the year. I can’t wait to see what 2019 holds!
Thank you so much – from my family! We love you all!
